Hiring on behalf of our client: SQL Server Database Engineer

Partnered with a client who is seeking a Database Engineer to support and enhance the SQL-based data systems. You'll design database objects, build stored procedures, maintain data pipelines, and ensure their data environment is reliable, efficient, and scalable. The primary platform is SQL Server, and experience with Sybase ASE 15.7 is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop advanced T-SQL and complex stored procedures
• Support backup, recovery, and high-availability processes
• Optimize SQL queries and troubleshoot performance issues
• Build and refine ETL/SSIS data flows for warehouse operations
• Create automated and on-demand SSRS reports
• Maintain indexes, tuning strategies, and database health
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders

Qualifications

• 3+ years with T-SQL
• 3+ years in database server administration
• Experience with SSRS (preferred)
• Data warehouse experience is ideal
• Strong cross-team communication skills

Bonus Skills

• Power BI
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON
